Jannat fame Sonal Chauhan is all set to step into the arena of web series. The gorgeous actor is prepping herself and grooming according to her role in the film. It is a common notion that the actors try to glam up themselves with every bit of glitz, for an upcoming film or project. However, it seems that Sonal has gone de-glam for her next venture. The teaser for her venture has been recently revealed. However, it does not give away much. Sonal’s character, Meenakshi, is a historian by day and a teacher by night. Meenakshi is also an independent and responsible citizen of the country, who would go to any extent to protect it.

Sonal had earlier said about her prep for the part, “Meenakshi is one of the most unique characters I have ever done, she is a perfect balance of strength and vulnerability. Since she is a girl from Delhi, where I, too, come from in real life, there were quite a few common aspects which made it easier for me to understand her. My inspiration largely came from girls from Delhi University, the everyday woman who goes through some phenomenal situations in her daily life”

The actor attracted huge fame for her 2008 release Jannat, co-starring Emraan Hashmi. Sonal also enjoys a cheering fan following in South India. The Zee5 Originals Web series Skyfire is based on Aroon Raman's book Skyfire. Also starring Prateik Babbar as the lead, Skyfire is all set to premiere on May 22.
