Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, Sonam, Anil Kapoor Attend the Special Screening of Dhadak - View Pics

In a few days time, we will finally know whether Bollywood's unnecessary remake of Marathi blockbuster Sairat was worth the fuss. Dhadak is in the news for not just being a glam Sairat remake, but also for the launchpad of Janhvi Kapoor, the elder daughter of producer Boney Kapoor and the late actress Sridevi. Ishaan Khatter, who made his acting debut earlier this year with Beyond the Clouds, is the male lead. Produced by Karan Johar, Dhadak is directed by Shashank Khaitan of Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.

Both Janhvi and Ishaan were quite busy in the past few days, promoting Dhadak and giving media bytes. Tonight, they finally get to see the fruit of their efforts. For Karan Johar is having a special screening of Dhadak in Mumbai. To support Janhvi's first film, nearly the entire Kapoor khandaan is in attendance, except for her half-brother Arjun Kapoor who is shooting abroad.

So apart from the lead stars, Johar and the director, Boney Kapoor and Khushi, Anil Kapoor, Sonam (minus hubby Anand Ahuja, her sister Rhea Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor and family, Ananya Panday, R Balki, Gauri Shinde were present. Strangely, Ishaan's family, including brother Shahid Kapoor was missing. Check out the pictures below -

Looking forward to see how the whole family reacted after watching their little girl's acting debut. As for the rest of us, we will get to see Dhadal on July 20, where it is getting a solo release.
