Whoa! Now that's big news if it is true! Buzz is that Sidharth Malhotra is all set to be cast as the lead in Dostana  2 and our very own Dhadak girl Janhvi Kapoor will be seen opposite him. Reports also suggest that the hunt for the third lead is still on. Karan Johar always wanted to make Dostana 2, especially after the first film worked so well. Now finally he has a script for the film, which of course will speed up production. As for the cast, Karan has finalized both Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, and is currently looking out for the third lead role that will again be a male lead,” a source close to the development revealed.

“Like the first film this one too will be directed by Tarun Mansukhani. The only difference will be the story and cast that will change. But as of now with the hunt still on, the film is still a long way off from going on floor," the source added further.

Fans had been vouching for Janhvi and Sid ever since their pictures together from Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's wedding reception were shared online. They are two great-looking actors and we think they'd look super hot together. Not to forget, Karan had hinted at casting new actors in the sequel. In an interview to Mumbai Mirror earlier, a source had spilled the beans on the same saying, “The script is currently being developed and should be locked by the end of the month. The film is expected to go on the floors early next year. Karan wants to cast two new actors in the film. There will be a girl to complete the triangle and she will be a Bollywood A-lister, but it won’t be Priyanka reprising her role.”

However, we wonder who will be the third lead in Dostana 2. Any guesses, guys? But we are definitely gonna miss John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan's bromance! As far as the sequel is concerned, we'd like KJo to make an official announcement about it rather soon!
