The first trailer of the romantic comedy, Jabariya Jodi, hit the internet today. The movie brings together the beloved Hasee Toh Phasee jodi of Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra. The first footage of the film sets the premise where Sid's character runs a racket that helps brides by kidnapping their dowry-seeking grooms for a forced marriage. Well, it sounds a little off when we write it like that. But the trailer makes light of the serious situation. Parineeti enters the trailer after one minute and plays a girl looking for a groom. She kidnaps Sid to marry him, making the hunter become the hunted. Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra's 'Jabariya Jodi' Shoot Wrap Up Looks Like One Big Holi Bash (Watch Video).
Jabariya Jodi has many funny moments, many delivered by the talented Javed Jaffrey. He certainly is going to outshine everyone in the film. In fact, the supporting cast of the film is quite a bunch of talented actors including Aparshakti Khurrana and Sanjay Mishra. Sidharth's performance has certainly matured over the years. Parineeti doesn't get to do much in the trailer. Hopefully, the movie is more accommodating of her talent. Jabariya Jodi: Parineeti Chopra Takes Bhojpuri Diction Classes for Prashant Singh’s Film.

Sid and Parineeti, of course, look good together. Bollywood should have invested more in this gorgeous-looking pair, earlier. But better late than never again. The music of the film hits the right notes and goes with the vibe.
All said, the concept of forced marriage is a real thing in the heartlands of India. There might be some criticism against the premise of the movie, but we expect everything to be well-addressed in the film. Also, there is a scene in the end where Sid pokes holes in a groom's condoms, which definitely is looked down upon at in today's better-informed society.
Jabariya Jodi has been co-produced by Ekta Kapoor. The quirky movie has been directed by Prashant Singh. The Parineeti-Sidharth starrer will open in theatres
