Mahesh Bhatt is back with a love story, ‘Jalebi’, this time a new age one. The stars Rhea Chakraborty and Varun Mitra are the lovebirds on the block for this romantic tale. However, it is the poster of the film that caught our attention. The first look seems to be inspired by the ‘famous kisses’ of the past. In the new still, we can see Rhea hung upside down in the form of a train window, kissing Varun passionately.

Now, does this remind you of any iconic kiss you watched as a kid? Yes, that spiderman kiss. The kids of that generation were in awe of how the life-saver superhero-Spiderman kissed the love of his life on a rainy night. It was not a normal kiss but an upside-down kiss. That’s what is replicated here by the makers of Jalebi.

Not only this, but there is one more iconic kiss, that not many know about. A popular picture taken by Frank Q Brown during Korean war looks exactly like this one. Clicked in the 1950s, soldier Robert Maye was kissing his wife, Gloria, from the train which is taking soldiers for taking part in Korean War. This one resembles more to the poster even than the Spiderman kiss. Justin Bieber Kisses Fiancée Hailey Baldwin in a Pool! Shares The PASSIONATE Picture

Well, there has to be some special connection of this kiss to the plot of the film or else why would they choose to replicate these kisses, right? Bhatt told IANS, “Jalebi tells you how to live in an age of bewilderment when the old stories have collapsed, and no new story has yet emerged to replace them." Directed by Pushpdeep Bhardwaj, the film will hit the screens on October 12. What do you think about the recreated poster?
