Jacqueline Fernandez's Ek Do Teen song from Baaghi 2 is receiving flak and brickbats in equal amount. Everybody has agreed upon one point-that the classic numbers from Bollywood should remain untouched.  Originally performed by none other than THE Madhuri Dixit (Nene) in the film Tezab,  the classic version had the much needed zing and charm to it. Madhuri drove the whole nation crazy with her unmatched dance moves and effortless expressions. The tune was catchy and the lyrics were fresh. Jacqueline's Ek Do Teen on the other hand has skinshow without any substance.

" Ek Do Teen is such an iconic number. Even I would have commented on it had it been done by someone else. We are ready for criticism for we thought we must reach 10 per cent of what Madhuri had done but we could reach 25 per cent. N Chandra and Saroj Ji have given positive feedback to the song. The original choreographer of this number Saroj ji got emotional too," said director Ahemed Khan.

 

Khan also continued with his opinion when asked if he has manged to show the new number to the original Ek Do Teen girl Madhuri Dixit. " Madhuri Ji is such a huge star. We will rush to meet her anywhere if we get a call from her. But that was not our intention to make the song popular by showing it to Madhuri ji or someone else," responded Khan.

We are really keen to know now how would Madhuri herself react if she sees this new version of Ek Do Teen. Will she give a nod to what's on offer here--ripped bodies, washboard abs and dance steps with zest minus the effortless charm? Only time will tell! Till then you can groove to Ek Do Teen--the old one or the new version. The choice is entirely yours!
