Jabariya Jodi Box Office Collection Day 2: Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra Starrer Witnesses Slight Growth on Saturday

Initially, Jabariya Jodi was supposed to release on August 2. However, the makers postponed the film to August 9 as they wanted to avoid clashing with Sonakshi Sinha starrer Khandaani Shafakhana and Hollywood biggie Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.

Jabariya Jodi, which released on Friday, is doing below average business at the Indian box office. The romantic comedy took a poor opening after witnessing approximately 10% occupancy during morning shows on day 1. Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra starrer also failed to impress the critics and that didn't help its cause at the box office either. Directed by Prashant Singh and produced by Ekta Kapoor, the movie minted Rs 3.15 crore on day 1 which was far too less than the opening day collection of Hasee Toh Phasee, Pari and Sid's first film together. Jabariya Jodi Box Office Collection Day 1: Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra's Latest Release Is Off to a Dull Start, Mints Rs 3.15 Crore

On day 2, though Jabariya Jodi had slight growth in its collection, the rom-com still couldn't rake in big moolah as it ideally should have. As per Boxofficeindia.com, the movie collected Rs 3.75 crore on Saturday which means it had a growth of 35 to 40 % which isn't too good considering the low first-day figure. Jabariya Jodi Box Office Collection: Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra's Romantic Comedy Witnesses Poor Occupancy

The BOI report has further stated, "There is a holiday for Bakrid on Monday so the film can be at around 15 crore nett after four days but that's a poor return and post-Monday it will have just Tuesday and Wednesday to do business." Since Mission Mangal is releasing on Thursday along with Batla House, Jabriya Jodi won't have much scope of performing at the ticket windows thereafter. In fact, all other films running in cinema halls will have a tough time to survive at the domestic box office.
