Seems like John Abraham is done with his Independence Day releases. The actor wants to reserve a new date and has finalised October 2, 2020, for his next project. As per a press release released by the makers of Satyameva Jayate 2, John Abraham's sequel will now hit the screens on Gandhi Jayanti next year but it won't be a solo release for him. Satyameva Jayate that released in 2018 managed to earn a fairly decent amount and planning a sequel around it made sense.
After locking horns with Akshay Kumar on two occasions, John is now set to fight Vicky Kaushal at the box office next year. Satyameva Jayate 2 will clash with Sardar Udham Singh biopic on October 2, 2020, and we are excited to see if a real-life story will able to beat fiction on the big screens. Considering Vicky's popularity these days, after the release on Uri: The Surgical Strike, there are chances that it may work against John in their box office battle.

Satyameva Jayate will see Divya Khosla's return on the silver screen and she's paired opposite John in this sequel. Actually, it won't be wise to tag it as the sequel as the storyline is completely different. Nonetheless, we are excited about it and can't wait for their releases.
