The makers of Sooryavanshi have finally announced the release date of the film. Starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role, Sooryavanshi, directed by Rohit Shetty will be releasing on Eid 2020. It is usually Salman Khan who blocks Eid dates every year and that has been a norm of sorts. However, 2020 is going to be different. The makers shared new posters of the Akshay Kumar starrer announcing the release date of the film. A khakee- clad Akki is ready to take on the criminals and how! A lot of names have cropped up since the female lead is yet to be finalised. First it was Pooja Hegde and Kriti Sanon who were rumoured to be paired opposite Akshay in Sooryavanshi and then there were speculations that Katrina Kaif might star in the film. However, all these reports were denied confirmation and latest buzz is that Sonam Kapoor might be seen opposite Akshay in Sooryavanshi. Akshay has apparently recommended her for the film. Exclusive! However,  as per a source close to the development EXCLUSIVELY told us Rohit Shetty is not very happy with this recommendation. The source revealed, "The role of the female lead is a cop by profession. Rohit (Shetty) feels that Sonam might not be the right fit for this character. In fact, he already has another top actress in mind, with whom he has given a blockbuster in the past." We wonder wh could this be? It would only be fair to wait for Rohit Shetty to announce the final cast of the film.
