It's Akshay Kumar vs John Abraham Again On Independence 2019 As Mission Mangal Clashes With Batla House

In other news, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's much-hyped Brahmastra, which was to release on the same day, has been pushed to Christmas 2019.

It's Akshay Kumar vs John Abraham Again On Independence 2019 As Mission Mangal Clashes With Batla House

How excited were you as a Bollywood fan, when we had that clash between two heroes with a Manoj Kumar obsession at the box office, ironically, during Independence Day weekend? Akshay Kumar's Gold had clashed with John Abraham's Satyameva Jayate earlier this year and we all know what happened. While Akshay and John maintained that they are still good friends with each other, the trade circles were buzzing with the fact that neither were happy with the clash. Now get ready for the round two of this clash next year, as Akshay Kumar brings his Mission Mangal to August 15, 2019 the same day as John Abraham's Batla House is also coming out. Batla House New Poster OUT: John Abraham's Fans Already Declare The Movie as BLOCKBUSTER.

While Batla House, directed by Nikkhil Advani, had booked this release day a few weeks back, Akshay Kumar's Mission Mangal was announced just a week back, as the shoot also commenced then. And as with Gold and Satyameva Jayate, both the upcoming films are tinged with a patriotic flavour. Batla House is a real-life inspired thriller that has John play a cop. Mission Mangal is also inspired by real-life incidents, as it explored India's first Mars mission. Apart from Akshay, the movie also stars Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari, Nithya Menen and Sharman Joshi. Mission Mangal: Akshay Kumar Reveals His Team Featuring Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Nithya Menen, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Sharman Joshi.

Interestingly, there is also a third film coming out on August 15, 2019. Made in China, a romantic entertainer, starring Rajkummar Rao, Mouni Roy and Boman Irani. Considering that Mouni Roy made her Bollywood debut with Gold, this is a very intriguing reunion of Akshay, John and Mouni. Well, sort of!

In other news, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's much-hyped Brahmastra, which was to release on the same day, has been pushed to Christmas 2019.
