Then Veere Di Wedding was another film that impressed the audience in India. Now, she is all set to explore a new challenging role altogether, it seems. If a report by Newsd be believed Sonam will be seen playing a homosexual character in the upcoming movie Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. So far the movie has only been creating a buzz for it is the first time we would see the actress share the screen space with her dad Anil Kapoor. Also, who would not want to see Anil and Juhi Chawla again on the big screen?

But with the latest rumour, there are all the more reasons why fans would be excited to watch the movie. Honestly, the first teaser of the movie which released a couple of months ago was not alluring. But with new information at hand, it makes sense that the makers would not want to give away the crucial plot point. But there is more...

A report by Times of India, suggests that, in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, it would not be Sonam playing a homosexual but it would be Rajkummar Rao. And that is where the confusion starts. We are happy if either of the two turns out to be true. Because Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga totally seems like the kind of movie that would be handling the sensitive topic with nuance and poise.

Just like how Fawad Khan was in Kapoor and Sons. BTW, let us not forget that way before the release of Kapoor and Sons, rumours were afloat regarding the big reveal about Fawad's character in the film.

A, now pulled down, report by Bollywood Bubble also suggested that Sonam Kapoor Ahuja will be playing the role of a woman who is interested in women.

A report by Pinkvilla had suggested that the plot of the movie will be dealing with the sensitive issue of Love Jihad. Too many cooks...now it is only up to the makers to actually clarify what the plot of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is all about.

Earlier in the day, a very emotionally charged poster of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga was released by the makers to mark the celebrations of Anil Kapoor's birthday.
