Oscar nominated filmmaker Ashvin Kumar has been much appreciated for his cinematic excellence in Little Terrorist. The intelligent writer, director (and even actor) Kumar is excited about his new offering No Fathers in Kashmir that features Soni Razdan in the lead  role. LatestLY caught up with with Razdan and Ashvin recently to know their views on the troubled valley.

"Kashmir is a conflict of compassion," maintains Kumar who is portraying a poignant love tale.

Is love lost in Kashmir?

Are the wounds on the collective consciousness of Kashmiris the end result of our inability to find a solution in the valley or are these self-inflicted injuries occurred largely due to people's demand for freedom instead of seeking solutions?

No Fathers in Kashmir is much more than a stark view of the troubles happening in the state. It is also a budding love story between the Indo-British girl Noor and a Kashmiri boy Majid. Noor comes to Kashmir in search of her missing father, and Majid who has fallen for her doe-eyed beauty helps her out, The trailer of the film shows her how their search leads them to various interesting characters, from a fanatical leader, played by Kumar himself, to a military officer, played by Anshuman Jha.
