Reports of Irrfan Khan coming back to start shooting for Hindi Medium sequel are false
A hail and hearty Irrfan Khan is reportedly all set to return to his homeland post Diwali. While the 51-year-old actor is currently abroad undergoing treatment for neuroendocrine tumour, a spokesperson, however, said that Irrfan may return to the country after Diwali. Rumours have been doing the rounds that the actor will be coming back to start shooting for the sequel of Hindi Medium. However, the source dismissed all such reports.
"The story floating about Irrfan starting 'Hindi Medium 2' shoot in December are all based on speculations. However, there is a possibility of him returning to India after Diwali," the spokesperson said in a statement to PTI. It was back in March this year when Irrfan took everyone aback when he announced about his illness on social media. The news spread like wildfire and fans from across the country prayed for his well- being. He has been in the US ever since then undergoing several treatments. He revealed that he was suffering from a 'rare disease' and later went on to confirm that he had been diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour, a rare disease that can target various parts of the body.
