International Charity Day 2018: Meet Salman Khan, 'Being Human' With a Golden Heart!

On the International Charity Day, we definitely would like to give a round of applause to his work apart from the cinema.

Salman Khan is not called as ‘Godfather’ for nothing! His fans fondly call him with that title because such is his history in the industry. The man with the ‘golden heart’ or ‘big heart’ has the reputation of lending the helping hand to many of them. We all know that he is known for introducing newbies to the industry. He has turned into their icon and karta-dharta and till date owe their career to them. After all, if you have a such a massive chunk of the fanbase, why not use it to someone’s benefits!

Not just this, he also keeps his stardom aside to just make a small presence into the films. He is well-aware about the love of his fans for him. Hence, he mostly does not shy away from being a part of the film if the makers insist. If his cameo is helping them to promote the flick, he sure goes out of his way to give his hours to them.

This was about the film industry. However, he has done a ton of charity acts outside this space as well. Almost all know about his NGO named Being Human, which helps fund the needy. But he also has helped out many people apart from the organization way. Recently, his co-actress from film Veergati, Pooja Dadwal, was hospitalized and asked for financial help from the superstar. The 52-year-old actor instantly helped her with clothes, soaps, diapers, food, medicines to help her out of the ordeal.

During a film’s shoot, he promised a Kashmiri family of a new house. He also made sure that a member of the family got a job in the team’s art department. The house is currently under construction. Earlier, he distributed around 200 bicycles to the kids living on the streets.

Now, these are some of the acts that we know through various sources. However, there are many such that the publications do not have a clue about. On the International Charity Day, we definitely would like to give a round of applause to his work apart from the cinema.
