India's Most Wanted Director Raj Kumar Gupta Reacts to CBFC's Decision To Remove Gita and Quran Referrences from Arjun Kapoor's Movie

The Indian audiences are clearly not happy with CBFC's various decisions. From asking the makers of De De Pyaar De to replace the wine bottle in Rakul Preet's hands with a bouquet of flowers to chopping some major action scenes from Keanu Reeves' John Wick Chapter 3, CBFC has been brutal in its certain decisions. And the case with Arjun Kapoor's India's Most Wanted was no different. The body asked the movie makers to edit the Gita and Quran references from its final edit. In his recent chat with Indian Express when the filmmaker was asked about his reaction, he insisted that those references were an essential part of the story.  "There was a scene which was written for a certain context in the film and there is some impact derived from that or there is a certain reality portrayed in it." He further revealed how such 'cuts' hamper the storytelling process. Meanwhile, Arjun's new release will not hit the screens in Dubai and a particular scene is a reason behind it. India's Most Wanted hits the screens tomorrow.
