India’s First Dance-Horror Film Directed by Bosco Martis Will Give Acting Roles to Dance India Dance Contestants

Give Indian cinema a movie to make in the horror genre and it will do anything but that. Horror erotic were quite a rage at one point in time. After the success of Golmaal Again and far superior Stree, horror comedies are Bollywood's next go-to move. But, boy, were we surprised when we learnt that a dance-horror movie is in the making now. As per the latest reports, India's first dance horror comedy will be directed by choreographer Bosco Leslie Martis, who is pretty excited to be at the helm. The idea does sound exciting when the dust settles. "As a choreographer, I wanted to explore my skills in the dancing world by without trying to attempt a film on the lines of Step Up. So I came up with the concept of a dance-based horror-comedy. It sets the platform to create something magical,” said Bosco who is working on the screenplay with a team of writers," Bosco has said.
He cited the example of Michael Jackson's Thriller in the genre to make his point. The movie is currently under development with no casting choice made yet. Though, reports do suggest that contestants from the dance-based reality show Dance India Dance will be picked to star in the film in special roles. Maybe the idea is to make a dance movie with an absolute non-dancer of an A-lister to make it horrifying to watch? But we are getting ahead of ourselves here. We will be looking forward to this one. With Bosco, we can definitely expect some kickass choreography in the film. Bosco, with his choreography partner, Caesar, has choreographed dance numbers for movies like Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Baar Baar Dekho, Student of the Year, Gunday to name a few.
