Salman Khan was accused of killing a Blackbuck while hunting in Jodhpur, Rajasthan in 1998. The Blackbuck or Chinkara is an animal very sacred to the Bishnoi community. The alleged incident happened more than two decades ago during the shoot of the film Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999). The Bollywood superstar was reportedly accompanied by his co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam during the hunting adventure. Now, an old clip of Salman Khan saying that he wasn't the person to kill the Blackbuck has resurfaced on the Internet.

In an old video of Salman Khan's interview of India Today shared by a user on Reddit, the journalist could be seen indirectly asking the actor whether he shot the Blackbuck. Taking sometime, Salman Khan replies to her, "It's a long story there. And I wasn't the one who shot the Blackbuck." The interviewer then questions Salman that if that was the case, why does he not point a finger at someone else. To which, he replies, "There is no point." Salman Khan is currently occupied with his duties as the host of the reality show Bigg Boss 18. He is also shooting for his next film Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss. The action film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi and Prateik Babbar in pivotal roles. Sikandar is scheduled for an Eid 2025 release.
