Hrithik Roshan's maternal grandfather J Om Prakash died on Wednesday morning. Actor Deepak Parashar confirmed the news of the Bollywood filmmaker, who left for the heavenly abode at 93. It is a known fact that Hrithik was extremely close to his granddad and often mentioned him in the interviews. His daughter, Pinky, is married to filmmaker-actor, Rakesh Roshan. However, Parashar took to Twitter to confirm the same saying, "Mr J Om Prakash”passed away about an hour ago So saddened as he joins his friend, my Mamaji “Mr Mohan Kumar “in heaven ! Their contributions to Indian cinema is a gift they left behind for us ! Took this pic few months ago when went to see him ! Om Shanti,” Check out the tweet below.
J Om Prakash is a renowned name in the Hindi film industry. He directed popular films like Aap Ki Kasam (1974), Aakhir Kyon? (1985), Apnapan (1977), Aasha (1980), Apna Bana Lo (1982), Arpan (1983), Aadmi Khilona Hai (1993) to name a few. He is also known to bankroll hits like Aaye Din Bahar Ke (1966), Aya Sawan Jhoom Ke (1969), Aankhon Aankhon Mein (1972) amongst others. Hrithik recently posted his pictures on Twitter, terming his beloved 'deda' as his teacher who supported him throughout life.
