Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff's War Beats Aamir Khan's Thugs Of Hindostan On Day 1 At The Box Office

After Salman Khan's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff's War takes on Aamir Khan's Thugs Of Hindostan

It's War time at the box office and it is destroying others in its wake. We already told you that Salman Khan's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has already been the first victim and now Aamir Khan's Thugs Of Hindostan. The first day numbers will be out tomorrow and many are predicting it will beat the subpar copy of Pirate Of Carribean but before that happens, War already made its first strike. War Special Screening Pics: Varun Dhawan, Disha Patani, Ananya Panday For the ‘Love’ of Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff! The Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff film has opened to 72% occupancy which is more than what Aamir's pirate movie did at the box office. last year, given the fact that it was a Diwali release, TOH opened to stupendous occupancy numbers. It saw 70% occupancy on day 1 and even made the highest first-day total ever with Rs 52.25 crore. But it's unlikely that despite getting more occupancy than TOH, it will be able to beat the day 1 number of 2018's Diwali release.

There is a reason behind that. TOH released in 5000 screens across India while War opened to 4000 screens. That obviously will affect the final outcome of day 1. Also, there is no comparison between Diwali and October 2 holiday. The festival of lights puts people in such a good mood that watching a movie becomes the only obvious thing to do. Hence, TOH got the benefit on the first day. We know what happened post that!
