How Dare You? Kareena Kapoor Khan Reveals She Is Not Reviving Poo from Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham
Kareena Kapoor, in her latest conversation with the press, has denied being approached for any web-series.
We got a little too excited when reports surfaced that Kareena Kapoor Khan will revive her iconic character Poo from K3G for a web series. It was said that the character she'd play will be sort of an extension of her character that looks at herself in the mirror and despises her own beautiful reflection. Oh, we can't have enough of Poo. But, alas, the reports are nothing but an exaggerated work of imagination of the Indian media. Kareena Kapoor, in her latest conversation with the press, has denied being approached for any web-series of the sorts. Ouch. She could have just played along just to not break our hearts? Here is the story. Kareena Kapoor Khan Stuns in Sexy Black Theia Gown With a Plunging Neckline at ‘Mowgli’ Premiere in Mumbai (See Pics).
Kareena was talking to DNA After Hrs when she made the revelation. "There’s no truth to it. At least, I have not been approached for it. But, yes, Poo is still one of the most favourite characters in Bollywood and that makes me happy," she said. At the cost of repetition, Poo is everyone's favourite character.
Earlier, a Filmfare report said that Kareena will be playing a 30-year-old character of Poo. A source close to her had told the magazine, "Kareena is in talks with Netflix and she has loved the script of a show which will feature her as a woman in her mid-30s. Her character has been inspired from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’s Poo which was loved by the audiences. Bebo is quite excited to return as a 35-year-old Poo with some new flavours of drama added to it."
But Kareena's clarification doesn't mean that she is not open to possibilities. "I would love to do a web series for sure. People are coming up with great content on the digital platform today and I’m all for it. If I get something exciting, I’ll take it up," she told DNA.
After all, Kareena did do the voice role of Kaa in the Netflix movie Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle. Her hubby, Saif Ali Khan, very popularly plays the lead in the Netflix Indian original series, Sacred Games. So, she is running at close quarters with the streaming giant. Who knows what the future holds? Stay tuned to Latestly for more updated until then... Hallelujah *shakes head like Poo*.
