Housefull 4 has been doing some good business at the box office, despite getting some really bad reviews. In fact, the film is the worst-reviewed film in the franchise, that isn't exactly known for appeasing the critics. It is also the most expensive film in the series, and perhaps, it can even become the highest-grossing film of the franchise, going by how Housefull 4 has performed on its first Monday, which also happens to be the main Diwali holiday. Housefull 4 Box Office Collections Day 4: Akshay Kumar’s Film Records Its Highest Earnings Since Release; Grosses Rs 87.78 Crore.
After a rather okay opening weekend, Housefull 4's collections got a huge boost on Monday, earning Rs 34.56 crore, which brings its total collections to about Rs 87.78 crore. While it may not be a Rs 200 crore grosser that many had predicted before the release, Housefull 4 could easily be Akshay Kumar's 13th Rs 100 crore grosser.
That said, the producers (Fox Star Studios and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment) of Housefull 4 have been accused inflating the figures of the film to a tune of about Rs 15 crore. From Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra.One to Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 4, Eight Films of This Decade That Didn’t Turn Out to Be the Colourful Diwali Blockbusters That We Expected.
Industry tracker and trade analyst, Sumit Kadel, had put a couple of tweets where he mentions that Housefull 4 has only made Rs 72 crore nett.
Friday- ₹ 16.50 cr
Saturday- ₹ 14.85 cr
Sunday- ₹ 10.40 cr
Monday- ₹ 30.25 cr nett
Total- ₹ 72 cr nett.

Friday- ₹ 2.5 cr, Saturday - ₹ 3.95 cr, Sunday- 4.6 cr , Monday- 5 cr. Grand total- ₹ 16.05 cr nett.
Its not the collection of any last week release , its Ghaplation which is 4 cr more than the combined 4 days collection of #MadeInChina & #SaandhKiAankh . History created.

He also expressed the audacity in how the makers are inflating the collections without any kind of concern, while asking the rest of the industry to speak up about this inflation.
Entire film industry is shocked after seeing HUGE manipulation in collection that too by a reputed distribution company. Getting lot of calls from industry folks congratulating me for speaking up against it , but if all wont speak up, this inflation game will never stop.

Another journalist, Navneet Mundra, calls Housefull 4 the most deceitful film for faking its collections.
HOUSEFULL 4 is the most deceitful film of the decade. Deceived people in the theatres, now trying to deceive ppl through fake collections. Talk to any respected distributor or top exhibitor & they'll tell u the truth. HOUSEFULL 4 has collected Rs 70 crore net in 4 days. DISASTER. https://t.co/cmO6LuhG8L

Rohit Jaiswal, another trade analyst, took sarcastic digs at what he perceives to be over-inflated figures for Housefull 4.
#Housefull4 Diwali Holiday collection 56cr (Monday)
Going per today’s occupancy dont be surprised if film collects 75cr....
Brilliant... Mammoth... Multinational...Municapal Corporation... pic.twitter.com/JZWMEoVNgC

Its very easy to fool a particular fan base, who are trying really hard to compete with every star, When your film has done low but decent business over weekend and has taken a jump on monday, the distribution team should behave professionally and must not inflate numbers...
— Rohit Jaiswal (@rohitjswl01) October 29, 2019
As per the trade circle, Housefull 4 needs to make at least Rs 180 crore to break even. With the movie also getting some bad WOM, it really feels an uphill task for the film, even if it enters into the Rs 100 crore club. Unless, of course, if the producers are happy just celebrating over the 'increased' numbers, as they have been accused of doing. Housefull 4, directed by Farhad Samji, stars Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde, Kriti Kharbanda, Rana Daggubati and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Earlier, even films like Salman Khan's Race 3, Prabhas' Saaho, Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan, Akshay Kumar's Mission Mangal, Shah Rukh Khan's Raees et al were also accused of inflating their box office collections. Ajay Devgn and film-maker Rakesh Roshan have often been at the receiving end of accusations of having inflated the box office collections of their films. It isn't a new game, the only question is how long will the producers get away with this!
