The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, could be pissed with the trailer of Hotel Milan. The satirical comedy stars Kunaal Roy Kapur and Zeishan Quadri in the lead and is about two youths who start a hotel in UP for couples in love. So yeah, Hotel Milan is about a hotel that allows couples to spend intimate moments even on an hourly basis. Just like how some of the shacks in Aksa beach work. Hotel Milan is directed by Vishal Mishra, known for making Sunil Grover-starrer Coffee With D. Karishma Sharma of Ragini MMS 2.2 fame is the female lead.

So the trailer begins with a real-life footage of UP CM Yogi Adityanath talking about having vigilante squads to 'protect' the girls in his state. The video then shows how goons, in the name of moral policing, were harassing couples who spend intimate moments in parks and public places. This also gives the leads of the film, played by Kunaal and Zeeshan, a golden opportunity to make money - start a hotel for these couples on an hourly basis. As their business grows, they also attract the ire of the local leader, played by the terrific Jaideep Ahlawat, leading to vandalism and court cases. Rajesh Sharma, Zakir Hussain and Malvi Malhotra.

Speaking more about the trailer, the comedy is very patchy and the addition of some sleaze elements make it difficult for us to take Hotel Milan seriously. But the makers have to be lauded for addressing a relevant issue that is quite rampant in the society.

Hotel Milan, produced by Haresh Patel’s AD Films, is scheduled to release on September 15.
