Hindu Activists Object to Sonakshi Sinha-Zaheer Iqbal’s Interfaith Marriage, Citing ‘Love Jihad’, Demand Shatrughan Sinha Rename His ‘Ramayana’ House; Actor-Politician Responds to Patna Protest

A group called Hindu Shiv Bhawani Sena displayed posters across Patna threatening the Sinha family and accusing Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal of attempting to ‘Islamify’ the country. Sonakshi married Zaheer on June 23 under the Special Marriage Act. Posters have been put by Hindu activists across Patna labelling the marriage as ‘love jihad’. The activists have also declared their intent to prevent the actress from entering Bihar and demanded that her father, actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha, change the name of his Mumbai residence, ‘Ramayana’. The protestors further insisted on renaming Shatrughan Sinha's sons, Luv Sinha and Kush Sinha. Or else, he must change the name of his sons Luv and Kush, and his house Ramayana.” Shatrughan Sinha has responded to hate over Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s interfaith marriage.
