Irrfan Khan's Hindi Medium had released in China this week, and going by the trend of Indian movies hitting the bullseye there, the movie has been doing amazing business there. Within three days, it has already grossed Rs 100 crore at the box office even bettering the collections of Dangal and Bajrangi Bhaijaan in the same time period. Hindi Medium is directed by Saket Chaudhary and also stars Saba Qamar, Deepak Dobriyal, Sanjay Suri, Neha Dhupia and Amrita Singh.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, "Riding on extremely positive word of mouth, #HindiMedium packs yet another SOLID DAY in China... Crosses ₹ 100 cr in 3 days... Eyeing a fruitful innings at China BO... Wed $ 3.42 mn Thu $ 6.29 mn Fri $ 6.04 mn Total: $ 15.75 million [₹ 102.29 cr]". With these amazing collections, Hindi Medium has even crossed Rs 200 crore worldwide.

Strangely, Hindi Medium has not crossed Rs 100 crore mark at the domestic box office, though it was one of the more profitable movies of 2017.

These collections are also proof that China is not just fallen for the allure for Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, like we do. For them content is the king, not the stars who are leading them. However, that said, it was Aamir Khan and his movies like 3 idiots, PK, Dangal and Secret Superstar, that paved way for Indian movies to perform well in China. But yeah, ifa your movie is not good enough and does not have the human connect, then it's not for China.

Now in a couple of weeks, SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 will also release in China, and trade experts are predicting some really good collections for the movie. If the predictions come true, there are chances of the movie to overtake Dangal's worldwide collections and become India's highest grossing movie worldwide.
