However harsh this may sound, let's not dodge reality! The term Bollywood resonates with Hollywoodwallas only because our movies feature elaborate song and dance routines. Barring a certain Amitabh Bachchan or a Shah Rukh khan, Bollywood stars go absolutely unnoticed in the distant geographical locales. In fact, our megastars enjoy the attention they get, the world over, purely because of the ever flourishing  Indian community.

Let's draw a parallel here--How many great Russian or French actors can we Indians name? Hardly any, right? Why then Hollywood stars would keep a close eye on our movie stars and the run-of-the-mill productions we churn out every year? So it's OK if the Hollywood giant Sylvester Stallone mistook Bobby Deol for Salman Khan! Oops! The Hollywood veteran did commit that blunder recently when he --presumably accidentally at that, as we Bollywood fanatics would like to believe--took to Twitter to promote Race 3.

Unsure of who Salman is, Sylvester accidentally shared Bobby Deol’s character poster from the Remo D’Souza film. The Rocky star promptly rectified his mistake. Sylvester then posted a zoomed-in picture of Salman from Race 3 and wrote, “OK, EVERYBODY let’s try this AGAIN , good luck to the very talented SALMAN KHAN on his upcoming new film RACE 3 ! ( if this is wrong I give up ! ) LOL.” It is a given that Stallone is still not sure who Salman Khan is, or perhaps now he is! (After Googling bhai,that is! Even that job must have been done, we fear, by Stallone's PR machinery!)

Rumours are rife that Stallone is doing a cameo in Race 3. Naturally, he is excited about his Bollywood outing for which he doesn't have to be aware of Bhai's popularity back home.

Frankly speaking, it all reduces to one actuality. Our superstars might bask in their starry glory here, but in Sunny California they are not as popular as we would like to believe. period!
