Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh revealed that there were a few things which made it a catch at the box office. Trade expert reveals that Hrithik and Tiger were signed on for the film two years back at prices they were demanding then. Since then Tiger has become a big draw at the box office with Baaghi 2 becoming a Rs 100 crore film. Hrithik has always been a box office darling. Also, the COP (cost of production) of Rs 150 crore includes everything from actors' fees to budget and others. War has now earned over Rs 300 crore which is double of its budget. It is now one of the most profitable films of Hindi cinema.
Now it needs to be seen how much the film earns in its lifetime which give a clear idea of what the franchise will look like.
