Has Deepika Padukone REFUSED To Star In xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage Movie Sequel?

Deepika Padukone’s Hollywood debut film, xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage turned out to be a dud at the box office all across the world. And now rumours mills were abuzz that the actress has refused to star in the sequel of xxx: The Return Of Xander Cage. If you remember, last year when the film’s director, DJ Caruso was in India to promote the movie, he went on record to officially announce that Deepika Padukone will be a part of the sequel of the film. However, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Dippy has neither received a contract nor has she said ‘yes’ to the film.

With xXx: Return of Xander Cage, the doors to Hollywood sure did open for Deepika, who went on a global tour to promote the movie. She also brought Vin Diesel to India on a trip he thoroughly enjoyed. But, her co-star Diesel, with whom she shared a fantastic chemistry, too did nothing substantial for her career as far as Hollywood is concerned. And that is also one of the prime reasons why the actress is clearly not interested in the sequel. As far as Bollywood is concerned, Deepika’s latest film, Padmaavat has been thoroughly appreciated by audience and critics alike. It has become one of the top grossers at the domestic box office so far. Even though vandalism and violence were reported in various parts of the country, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial managed to do seemingly well. Reports suggest that the actress has been roped in for a new project which will star Irrfan Khan opposite her. The film will be directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.
