Akshay Kumar and KriArj Entertainment had quite a successful association over the past couple of years. The actor has delivered some of his big hits with the production house, headed by Prernaa Arora, like Rustom, Toilet - EK Prem Katha and this year's Pad Man. Rustom even gave Akshay Kumar his first National award for the Best Actor (though we can debate for long on whether that win was really deserving).

However, there are some very depressing speculations with regards to their association. If certain rumours are to be believed, Akshay Kumar doesn't want anything to do with KriArj anymore. A source EXCLUSIVELY told us, "Akshay is not keen to do any more movies with the production house. It has more to with all the legal issues that KriArj has found itself in the past few months. Akshay wants to distance himself from unwanted controversies that might arise by being a part of any of their future movies."

The source further revealed that Akshay even refused producer Vashu Bhagnani's movie, when the latter approached him, only because KriArj was on board.

We have been hearing about how many of KriArj's projects, from the May release Parmanu, Sushant Singh Rajput's Kedarnath, Shahid Kapoor's Batti Gul Meter Chalu and even Anil Kapoor's Fanney Khan, have found itself in trouble at one point or the other. Many blame the production house's poor financial management for the issues, and they have even be replaced in some of the future projects.

Interestingly during a media interaction a few months back for Pad Man, Prernaa had spoken about working with Akshay in the future. She had said, "We’re working with Akshay Kumar for sure, we have five films deal with him, we have done three and two more are coming, so in time, we will talk about it, when Akshay Kumar is ready to talk about the films."
