Thugs of Hindostan is believed to be Bollywood's most expensive film ever made, though not as costly as Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's 2.0 (which has a budget of Rs 540 plus crore). However, that would have been just an appetiser for Aamir Khan's lofty ambitions, as he was all set to go his most ambitious and costliest with his next after Thugs. Aamir Khan, in collaboration with Reliance Entertainment, was to make a Rs 1000 crore trilogy on Mahabharata. He had even refused to the Rakesh Kumar biopic to prep himself for this film. However, as per some reports, that project is a no-show. There are talks that Aamir has shelved the film, as the first film itself will need to have him give five years of his career. In the recently held NDTV Yuva Conclave in New Delhi, Aamir Khan was talking about 'Redefining Superstardom' and the next edition of his TV show Satyameva Jayate. Here, he was asked about Mahabharata, to which he replied, "Main Mahabharat nahi bana raha hun. Filhaal main sirf Thugs Of Hindostan pe kaam kar raha hun!" (I am not making Mahabharat.
