Happy Birthday Vikrant Massey: Here's Why We Deserve To See More of Him In Bollywood

Vikrant Massey is a powerhouse of talent and on his birthday, we wish him many more Bollywood films to come.

Happy Birthday Vikrant Massey!

For a Television buff in India, Vikrant Massey is a known face especially after his stint on the popular daily soap Balika Vadhu. For those who take an interest in art cinema, his performance in A Death in The Gunj will be remembered forever. In case you are into web-series in binge watcher category, you know him as the smart 'Bablu Bhaiyya'from Mirzapur. Basically, Vikrant Massey has managed to shine as an actor in all three mediums and we can't get enough of this powerhouse performer. As the actor rings in his 32nd birthday today, we have only one wish and that is to see more of him on the big screen.

The actor has already been signed on for a crucial role in Deepika Padukone's next, Chhapaak and we think this is probably just the start. In the film that revolves around the life of an acid attack survivor, Vikrant will be essaying the role of a social activist.

Vikrant Massey preparing for Chhapaak along with Deepika Padukone:

Vikrant first impressed us with his small but impactful performance in Ranveer Singh's Lootera. The Vikramaditya Motwane film had the actor play the character of Dev who is a friend and accomplice to Ranveer's character. Even with his limited screen time, Massey managed to make us laugh and later even cry as his character exits in the film. In Konkona Sen's A Death In The Gunj, he played the character of Shutu who is going through a rough patch, reeling under depression. In the scenes where he has a breakdown, Vikrant showed what a powerful actor he is. He later, of course, starred in some big films like Dil Dhadakne Do and Lipstick Under My Burkha.

One of Vikrant Massey's strongest traits is that he has an extremely relatable vibe and with his natural acting abilities, it is hard to miss his act. In terms of versatility too, he has shown enough range and his role in the Amazon Prime Original series, Mirzapur was certainly a proof of that. As Bablu Pandit, Vikrant not only aced his accent but also showed that he can be a suitable choice in a story that deals with guns and goons without having to bulk up or flaunt his abs. In fact, when Vikrant starred in Half Girlfriend, he was probably the only actor who was watchable in the film.

Vikrant Massey in Mirzapur:

Vikrant may have a conventional, boy-next-door face but he knows how to stand out against big actors and it is commendable. Not many know but Massey is also a trained ballet dancer and that proves that he could be a suitable choice for a dance film as well. No wonder he managed to groove so easily to the lovely beats of "Gallan Goodiyaan" in Dil Dhadakne DoDeepika Padukone is Visibly Excited to Work With Vikrant Massey in Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak (View Pic).

Before Chhapaak, we will continue to see more of Massey in web-series. His upcoming series Criminal Justice stars him along with the super talented actor Pankaj Tripathi. The series is all set to air on April 5 on HotStar Premium.
