Shahid Kapoor is currently basking in the glory of Maharawal Ratan Singh of Padmaavat. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali film is continuing the great run at the box-office. The actor who has found such great success has decided to keep it low for his birthday celebrations today. Shahid Kapoor born on 25th February 1981 turns 37 today. But a family man that he has turned into, Shahid is going to celebrate his birthday in a very low-key affair, attending some satsangs.

The actor is probably too tired of the constant media attention around him and his family. HIs baby daughter Misha too has been in the spotlight for quite some time. Shahid thus wants to get away on his special day and spend it only with his close ones around him. The actor is currently shooting for Batti Gul Meter Chalu in Uttarakhand and will take a short break to spend time with his family on the eve of his birthday. A source told Mumbai Mirror, ''Shahid and Mira missed Valentine's Day and the actor wanted to keep up with the annual tradition of celebrating birthdays with satsangs and a visit to Beas.''

It is the same satsang where Shahid and Mira's family is said to have met. So it indeed becomes a nostalgic way for the family to celebrate the special day. So Shahid is supposed to go to Delhi first and then accompany Mira and family to Beas. There were also some discussions about a Padmaavat success party which was going to be held at the same time. Shahid had already cleared that he won't be able to attend this party since he opted for some family time. Well, we are sure his family is not complaining. His next film Batti Gul Meter Chalu is directed by Shree Narayan Singh is an upcoming comedy-drama starring Shahid, Shraddha, and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles.
