Jaya Bhadhuri was born on 9 April 1948 and Hindi cinema got a new gem. The actress is known for experimenting with various genres and roles in Bollywood. The noted performer made her film debut as a teenager in Satyajit Ray's Mahanagar (1963). Her first claim to fame was through the much acclaimed movie, Guddi (1971), directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. After this film, she was unstoppable. The yesteryear diva gave hits like Uphaar (1971), Koshish (1972) and Kora Kagaz, Zanjeer (1973), Abhimaan (1973), Chupke Chupke (1975), Mili (1975) and Sholay to name the best ones.

Jaya Bhaduri became Jaya Bachchan on 3 June 1973 after getting married to the angry young man of the B-town, Amitabh Bachchan. Even though she has been seen limitedly in Bollywood films now, she has done impressive roles in movies like Kal Ho Naa Ho, Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham, Fiza, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag. It will take too much of time to go through her filmy career! So on her birthday, here’s the quick glance to some of the best songs that will make you grab the popcorn and once again watch her movies!
