Shahenshah of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan is probably one of the greatest personalities the film industry has seen! The actor has turned 76 today on October 11 and he is still going strong with his career. However, things weren’t that great back in the days. Yes, the actor was in deep financial trouble. Not just that, Big B's acting career too was in doldrums. In fact, he would have lost his house, if it would have not been for Kaun Banega Crorepati. Yes, you read that right. The actor was in a debt of Rs 90 crores and that's when KBC came as a saviour for Big B in the year 2000. It seems that the Quiz Game show has really revived his career. But let's not forget that KBC would have not been what it is today without Amitabh Bachchan. Amitabh Bachchan Now Supports #MeToo Movement After Refusing to Speak About Nana Patekar Controversy

Bachchan, who had a stable career in the 90s, decided to venture into business with his company Amitabh Bachchan Corporate Limited (ABCL). But unfortunately, the venture fell flat on its face, emptying his bank balance and rendering him bankrupt (towards the end of the 90s). Talking about the same, Big B had earlier told the media, "In the year 2000, when the entire world was celebrating the new century, I was celebrating my disastrous fortune. There were no films, no money, no company, a million legal cases against and the tax authorities had put notice of recovery on my home."

However, Big B's luck favoured him and was offered to host Kaun Banega Crorepati. Through KBC, the actor earned Rs 15 crore for 85 episodes of the show. Not just that, many endorsements and films came his way and this is how the Pink actor managed to pay back creditors and clean up ABCL's balance sheet.
