Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy has been going steady over the week. It became the first film of 2019 to cross the 100 crore mark at the India box office. The film which won praises from everyone has been receiving immense love from the audiences too. After having a splendid week one, the film managed the feat of making it to the 100 crore mark in an extended week 1 which is great for a film in the genre of music. Ranveer and Alia both seem to be on a high as they continue to have a great spell at the box office after their previous releases.

The film on its second Friday collected 3.90 crores, taking its total to 104.20 crores at the India box office. So far, the film has been enjoying decent footfalls at the multiplexes and is particularly going strong in the metros. Looking at the film's current trend at the box office, it is expected to amass up to 125-130 crores of lifetime collection at the India box office. Among the film's in Ranveer's career so far, Gully Boy opened second to his 2018 December release Simmba. Although it did surpass the opening day collections of Padmavat.

Directed by Zoya Akhtar, Gully Boy has been produced by Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby pictures, the film also starred Kalki Koechlin, Vijay Raaz and Siddhant Chaturvedi in important roles. After premiering at Berlinale 2019, the film received positive responses from the international audiences too.
