Last year, Ranveer Singh delivered two blockbusters in the form of Padmaavat and Simmba.  And now Gully Boy, his first release of 2019, has also surpassed the Rs 100 crore mark at the Indian BO. This means the handsome lad has continued his good streak at the ticket windows which is mighty impressive. Even his co-star Alia Bhatt had given a hit last year. Her spy thriller Raazi turned out to be so good that it went on to enter the Rs 100 crore club. With Gully Boy faring well, it's safe to say that both Ranveer and Alia could easily rule the box office this year as well. Gully Boy Box Office Collection Day 7: Ranveer Singh Starrer Witnesses a Sharp Drop on Wednesday, Ends Week 1 Around Rs 95 Crore.

Just a while back, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to microblogging site Twitter and revealed the updated figures of the film. He wrote, "#GullyBoy crosses ₹ 100 cr in *extended* Week 1... Biz divided... Metros impressive. Driven by plexes... Mass pockets ordinary/dull... Thu 19.40 cr, Fri 13.10 cr, Sat 18.65 cr, Sun 21.30 cr, Mon 8.65 cr, Tue 8.05 cr, Wed 6.05 cr, Thu 5.10 cr. Total: ₹ 100.30 cr. India biz."

Adarsh further tweeted, "#GullyBoy benchmarks...Crossed ₹ 50 cr: Day 3, ₹ 75 cr: Day 5, ₹ 100 cr: Day 8, Weekend 2: Plexes will contribute to its biz... Lifetime biz will depend on how strongly it trends at metros in coming days." Going by the current trend, Gully Boy should end its run around Rs 130 crore. If the film has a good second week then there is a possibility that it could even enter the Rs 150 crore club. But at the moment that seems like a herculean task. Ranveer Singh’s BIGGEST Box Office Openers: Gully Boy Beats Padmaavat to Grab the Second Spot, Simmba Still on Top.

Directed by Zoya Akhtar, Gully Boy also stars  Kalki Koechlin, Vijay Raaz and Siddhant Chaturvedi in important roles. The film, which released last week on Valentine's Day, has also impressed Hollywood actor-rapper Will Smith. So much so that he even posted a video on Instagram to congratulate Ranveer.
