After ending last year on a high note with Simmba, Ranveer Singh has now started 2019 with a bang courtesy his latest release Gully Boy. Co-starring Alia Bhatt, the musical drama has been minting big moolah at the box office ever since its release on February 14. The Zoya Akhtar directorial has already become Alia's biggest opener as it collected Rs 19.40 crore on day 1. The film continued to fare well over the weekend and easily surpassed the Rs 50 crore mark in just three days. We say so because according to BollywoodHungama, Gully Boy raked in Rs 8 crore on Tuesday, bringing its six-day total to a little over Rs 89 crore. And since there is hardly any tough competition at the box office, Ranveer starrer will enter the Rs 100 crore club in a day or two for sure.

Further, a report in Boxofficeindia.com states, "There is a huge ratio of business coming from Mumbai, Thane, and Pune. These three cities together contributed 30% of the all India business on Monday and it could be even more on Tuesday. So far Gully Boy has had a smooth run at the ticket windows despite Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike still getting cash registers ringing. However, Ajay Devgn, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Anil Kapoor, and Riteish Deshmukh starrer Total Dhamaal is arriving in theatres this week and that could change things at the box office. Since the adventure comedy is a family entertainer, it could good give Gully Boy some tough time at the BO.
