Veteran Bollywood actor and politician Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja recalled an incident when a female fan, who was a minister's daughter turned up at their house pretending to be a maid. Not just that, she even kept her identity hid for more than 20 days.
Govinda was one of the biggest stars that ruled Bollywood in the 90s with back-to-back blockbuster movies like Hero No 1 (1997), Coolie No 1 (1995), Raja Babu (1994) and Dulhe Raja (1998), just to name a few. In a recent conversation, the actor-politician's wife, Sunita Ahuja, shared an intriguing incident about a deviated fan of Govinda who disguised herself as a maid to stay with his family at their residence. Sunita Ahuja, who recently appeared on the podcast Timeout With Ankit, opened up about a die-hard female fan of Govinda who managed to stay nearly three weeks in their house. Recalling the incident, Sunita said that a minister's daughter came to their house in disguise to be a house help but was actually Govinda's fan. She said, "There was this fan who pretended to be a house help, and she stayed with us around 20-22 days. I thought that she looked like she was from a well-off family. I told my mother-in-law that she didn't know how to do the dishes and clean the house. Later, we got to know that she was some politician's daughter."

She later said how 3-4 cars came to pick her up after she confessed that she was a fan of Govinda. She said, "Highlight hi that aisa fan-following to" (This was a highlight in (Govinda's) fan-following incidents)." Speaking about Govinda's massive fan following, Sunita highlighted another incident during a show in America where fans used to faint after having a glimpse at the Bollywood star.
