Good Newwz sees a considerable drop in collection yesterday which was expected. Festivities are over and people have gone back to their regular routine. This was supposed to affect its number and it did but there's nothing to worry about. Despite the drop, it still managed a double-digit number on Thursday which brings the first-week collection of the film at a good Rs 127.90 crore. Now it remains to be seen how Good Newwz fares in the upcoming days. It hardly has any big competition this Friday with the likes of Bhangra Pa Le, Shimla Mirch and others releasing. So another good week is expected of it before Chhapaak and Tanhaji The Unsung Warrior hit the theatres.

Trade is now hopeful that the film will make at least Rs 200 crore if the trending doesn't fall too much post the second week. Well, that will definitely boost the revenue gains of 2020 early on even when it's a spillover.
