Bollywood actress Anjana Sukhani has been away from the limelight for longest of time now. Once seen in multi-starrers like Salaam-e-Ishq and Golmaal Returns, she went missing from the B-town bay. Now, it comes to light that she suffered from depression and was taking treatment for the same. The actress who will be seen Akshay Kumar-Kareena Kapoor Khan's Good Newwz next spilt beans on how she coped up with depression. Anjana revealed that it was her brother who actually suggested her to seek medical help. Speaking with Mumbai Mirror, she said, "They were different situations and I had to react to them. After the results were analysed, they concluded I wasn’t just low but depressed. On the first day, I don’t think my therapist even spoke a word; all I remember is blurting out my feelings in tears. Sometimes, it’s easier to confide in strangers who won’t judge you. The treatment went on for four months and though once in a while, I still have a low day, but I am mostly happy now."
With more and more celebs opening about depression, the stigma around the mental health issues is getting rubbed off. The actress is one of the celebs who battled depression including Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh to name a few. Speaking of her filmy outings further, she will be also next seen in Sanjay Gupta directed Mumbai Saga.
