Good News for Irrfan Khan's Fans! Actor Likely To Star in Hindi Medium Sequel

Irrfan Khan has been missing from the screen space since many months. He is away from the tinsel town post he got diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer. The talented star has been posting emotional posts once in a while, making the fans long for him again on the big screen. Seems like that will happen soon! As per a report in Bollywoodlife.com, Irrfan has said 'yes' to Hindi Medium sequel or Hindi Medium 2.

A source told the entertainment portal that the makers of the film flew down to London where he is taking treatment for cancer. The meeting apparently turned out to be fruitful and after the narration of the script, the actor gave a positive nod to do the sequel.

This piece of news also make us hope that the Piku actor is getting better after the treatment. We hope that comes out successfully after battling the Big C.

Speaking of the film, the movie will take the story 10 years forward. The story will reportedly revolve around the Irrfan and Saba Qamar's on-screen daughter Pia. Just like the first installment, directed by Saket Chaudhary, the second one will be a take on the education system again. Earlier, rumors went rife that Sara Ali Khan is likely to play the grown up Pia. However, the Pakistani actress who played Pia's mom will not be a part of the sequel.

Speaking of Irrfan, his latest movie that hit the screens was 'Karwaan'. The film that also stars Dulquer Salmaan and Mithila Palkar was loved by the audience and the critics. He is also roped in for Vishal Bhardwaj's gangster drama that also has Deepika Padukone in the lead. The project is very much on but delayed due to Irrfan's health. However, now that he has planned to sign the Hindi Medium sequel, we wonder his project with DP too will get green signal. Are you excited?
