Akshay Kumar is back with another hard hitting topic with the film 'Gold'. Talaash maker Reema Kagti brings to the table the extraordinary journey of Tapan Das, a young assistant manager in 1936, who dreams of playing for an independent nation. The film that also stars Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet Singh, Sunny Kaushal & Nikita Dutta in the lead, looks a promising one, if we go by the trailer. The film tells us the tale of a dreamy man who aspired to see the Indian flag waving, by winning gold medal in Hockey for free India.

Obviously, the journey was not easy to achieve what the men dreamed and the trailer exactly shows us how they faced these hardships. The dialogues and the background music in the trailer evoke patriotism. Catch Full Trailer of Gold here:

We would like to give a special mention to TV hottie Mouni Roy here who plays Akshay's character's wife. Her retro Bengali attire and her dialect is something fresh that her fans would like to look forward to. Speaking of her debut film, the Naagin actress told in a media interaction, " Because it’s my first film, I have a lot of memories from the film. I remember each and every moment very vividly. I don’t think ek aisa din hoga ya song shoot hoga, jisko main kam ya zyada bol sakti hun… every single moment that I have spent on that set is very special to me."

Gold will have a soul-soothing music album by music director duo Sachin-Jigar. The movie is slated to release on August 15 this year, making it one of the most awaited Independence day release.
