And here’s another newbie in tinsel town. Gadar director Anil Sharma introduced the teaser of his son Utkarsh’s debut film ‘Genius’. In this race of debutants in 2018, Utkarsh will compete with other new actors like Ishaan Khatter, Janhvi Kapoor, Aayush Sharma, Warina Hussain, Ananya Pandey, Sara Ali Khan to name a few. Before you proceed with the teaser, the makers make sure that you know who the guy actually is. He is the same little kid from Sunny Deol- Amesha Patel’s Gadar.

The teaser starts with the throwback scenes of Gadar where we get to watch Utkarsh in his childhood form. Gradually we are then brought back to 2018 where Utkarsh is grown up and is all set to fight the goons and romance with a pretty girl (played by Ishita Chauhan). The teaser is a mixture of action packed scenes and a love story between both the protagonists. The main antagonist in the film is Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Earlier Anil told PTI, “I was scripting only for him. Utkarsh as a person is very sincere at everything and has a lot of potential. I thought he can deliver. Utkarsh has all the qualities of a good actor. It was he who told us that how passionately he wants to pursue films. When he was in the US and studying film-making I worked on the script. Utkarsh thought it’s too early for him but then I said, ‘We have to do it right now.”

We hope that the new star rises along with this movie and gets all the love from the audience he aspires to have. The movie also has Ayesha Jhulka and Mithun Chakraborty in crucial roles. How did you like this new star on the block?
