Genius Comes up With a Happy Holi Teaser: Utkarsh Sharma Features in the New Movie Promo

Remember the Anil Sharma directed blockbuster film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel? The same director is back with a new film namely Genius, which stars his son Utkarsh (the on-screen son of Sunny and Ameesha in Gadar). After a long span, the maker is all set to give the audience a brand-new movie. The makers released a teaser of the movie on the occasion of Holi where Utkarsh is seen dancing in the air filled with gulaal.
Taran Adarsh tweeted, “First glimpse of Utkarsh Sharma from #Genius on the occasion of #HappyHoli... #Gadar director Anil Sharma directs... 24 Aug 2018 release.”
Earlier in an interview with PTI, Anil said, “I was scripting only for him. Utkarsh as a person is very sincere at everything and has a lot of potential. I thought he can deliver. Utkarsh has all the qualities of a good actor. It was he who told us that how passionately he wants to pursue films. When he was in the US and studying film-making I worked on the script. Utkarsh thought it’s too early for him but then I said, ‘We have to do it right now’.”
The film also stars a newbie named Ishita and the antagonist will be Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Bollywood actors like Ayesha Jhulka and Mithun Chakraborty will also join the cast. The film is scheduled to release on August 24, which most probably just after Akshay Kumar’s Gold and Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika. The movie might clash with Diana Penty and Sonakshi Sinha starrer Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi. What do you think about the teaser?
