RK Studios’ sale has left the fans as well as the Bollywood industry feeling nostalgic. The popular film studio which witnessed the shoots of some of the yesteryear blockbusters is up for sale. The Kapoors have been following the tradition of celebrating Ganeshotsav for about six decades in the studios. However, now that the Kapoors have taken the decision to sell this sprawling landmark in Chembur, this might be the last Ganesh Chaturthi celebration for them. This year, Randhir Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor welcomed bappa, probably for the last time.

The aarti and the visarjan procession of RK studios has been one of the most iconic celebrations in the industry. The Kapoor family welcome who’s who of the industry who visit to worship the deity. Since this year will be the last one we assume, it won’t be surprising if it turns out to be an emotional and special festivity for the RK owners this year.

Meanwhile, it is speculated that one of the guests at RK this time will be Alia Bhatt. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia have been dating for a few months now. Going by that, the young diva will definitely try to make it to the remarkable family celebration. A source exclusively told LatestLY.com, “RK Studios has a concrete place in the collective hearts of the Kapoors. Everybody in the family is emotionally attached to it. Every year Ganesh festival is celebrated at the property with much pomp and reverence. This year will be no different either. And if Ranbir is going steady with Alia then in all possibility he may invite her to seek blessings of Lord Ganesha at the studio.” Ganeshotsav at RK Studios: When Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor Slapped Journalists (Watch Video).
