That Taapsee Pannu is a supremely talented actress is known to all. No wonder, her movies are eagerly awaited by the cinephiles and fans all across India. Her latest offering, Game Over, released Last Friday and opened to fantastic reviews from the critics. In fact, everyone on social media has been going gaga over the horror thriller which has released in three languages - Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Directed by Ashwin Saravanan, Game Over, however, got off to a slow start despite all the raving feedback. The film collected only Rs 97 lakh on day 1 which was indeed surprising. Game Over Box Office Collection Day 3: Taapsee Pannu Starrer Horror-Thriller Under Performs in the Opening Weekend

But the movie picked up the pace on Saturday courtesy the good word of mouth. On Sunday, the collections were affected by India versus Pakistan world cup match but that was expected. As for Monday, the film gathered some momentum at the box office and minted Rs 1.14 crore.

Revealing the same, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the microblogging site Twitter a while back and wrote, "#GameOver Fri 97 lacs, Sat 1.94 cr, Sun 2.04 cr, Mon 1.14 cr. Total: ₹ 6.09 cr. Along with Taapsee starrer, Tamannah Bhatia and Prabhu Deva's Khamoshi also released on June 14 but neither did it impress the critics nor has it managed to draw the audience to the cinema halls. The film is a total washout as it has merely collected Rs 35 lakh in the first four days.
