Fukrey 3 Movie Review: The Fukreys are back, but minus one Fukrey and two lovely ladies. Ali Fazal's Zafar opts out of their adventures this time along with Priya Anand and Vishakha Singh, and the movie doesn't offer much explanation for this. However, Hunni (Pulkit Samrat), Choocha (Varun Sharma), and Lali (Manjot Singh) replace Zafar with Panditji (Pankaj Tripathi) as a permanent member of their often unlucky quartet. While we did miss Zafar's stoicism, Tripathi's English zingers are truly one of the best highlights of Fukrey 3, along with Choocha's naive antics and 'deja choo'! Fukrey 3 Full Movie 'Leaked'? Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma and Richa Chadha-Starrer Drops on YouTube Before Release But There's a Twist!

Directed once again by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, Fukrey 3 finds the protagonists in a less-than-desirable financial position again. Their electronics business is struggling, and the little money they earn comes from Choocha's unreliable ESP skills in finding lost items.

Bholi Punjaban (Richa Chadha), their frenemy and Choocha's persistent one-sided flame, has entered politics and is contesting an upcoming election. She enlists the Fukreys' help to gain more visibility for her campaign. However, Choocha inadvertently becomes the center of attention and earns people's affection, inspiring Hunni to pitch Choocha as Bholi's rival candidate in the elections. The rest of the film unfolds to reveal what happens in the election campaign, why the Fukreys end up in South Africa to save a diamond mine, and how they stumble upon another Choocha miracle.

Watch the Trailer of Fukrey 3:

Fukrey 3 delivers some very funny gags in the first half, albeit with some toilet humour. Choocha's antics, Hunni's adaptability, and Lali's exasperation shine here. Panditji seamlessly integrates into the team dynamics, and Pankaj Tripathi's English one-liners will undoubtedly tickle your funny bone. Some of the film's funniest scenes were unfortunately spoiled in the trailer, like the one involving ice cubes on the flight. Nevertheless, there are still well-executed gags in the first half, such as a hilarious conversation about food through echoes!

The second half, however, suffers from a lag in the screenplay, with some scenes stretched too thin, diluting the impact of the jokes. Despite setting up an intriguing electoral faceoff between Bholi and Choocha, Fukrey 3 fails to fully explore the contest's consequences. The addition of an antagonist named Dingra doesn't leave the desired impact either. Additionally, an ill-advised serious turn about water scarcity feels out of place in a movie that includes a plot element about making petrol from urine.

Nonetheless, a couple of jokes do land well in these portions, such as Panditji breaking the fourth wall to encourage the audience to tip the delivery person of a certain food delivery app. Pankaj Tripathi and his 'English' undeniably deserve a separate spinoff in this Fukra-verse. Furthermore, while I understand that Phone Bhoot didn't fare well at the box office, the makers should seriously consider the teased crossover film promised in the 2022 installment. Phone Bhoot Movie Review: Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi's Supernatural Comedy Runs Out of Good Gags and Spooks In Its Tepid Second Half.

Regarding the other performances, Varun Sharma continues to be the franchise's Excalibur, giving his best as the bumbling but well-meaning duffer. He uses his body language smartly to generate hearty laughter. I wish Hunni and Lali had received better character development beyond being foils to Choocha's eccentricities. Nevertheless, Pulkit Samrat comfortably essays his role as the coolest member of the gang, and Manjot Singh excels with his witty comebacks. The reliable Richa Chadha brings her wicked charm once again as the cunning Bholi Punjaban.

Final Thoughts

Fukrey 3 delivers ample laughs and some unfortunate bumps all the way till the end. Pankaj Tripathi's humorous zingers and Varun Sharma's comic timing shine the most, but the second half lags a bit. Despite its quirks, it's a fun ride for fans of the franchise, even if it occasionally veers into the absurd. Buckle up and join the Fukreys for a rollicking good time!
