A migrant labourer finds herself ringed by drug abuse and sexual molestation. Her struggles gave the audience the chills as the role was efficiently portrayed by the emerging star Alia. Co-starring Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh, the movie essayed the darker side of the state of Punjab. While everyone gave their power-packed performance, Alia’s dedication stood out. Released in 2016, the movie was directed by Abhishek Chaubey.
4. Dear Zindagi
With Dear Zindagi, Alia climbed another step on the ladder of success. The happy-go-lucky chirpy girl who silently suffers depression and anxiety, is pulled up from the hell hole by a psychiatrist. The actor took our breaths away with Raazi. Essaying the role of Sehmat Khan, an undercover RAW agent, is married to a Pakistani family to dig out some valuable piece of information from the enemies.
