Friendships are not set in stone. We all have had friends we are no longer in touch with. And there are going to be more friends we will have a fallout with. Bollywood is no different. The film industry has seen fallouts between thick-as-thieves friends over the craziest reasons, including the very movies they worked in together. Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi
Kangana Ranaut and Sonu Sood were quite good friends before Manikarnika happened. Kangana had even come out for the trailer launch of Sonu's film, Tutak Tutak Tutiya. One must be looking forward to seeing them in Manikarnika together but things happened. When original director Krish was not available for the patchwork of the film, Kangana had to take up directorial duties. Due to internal clashes, Sonu decided to walk out of the film, and all of his scenes had to be reshot. Goes without saying the two actors are no longer friends after this much-public fallout.
Kesari
When Akshay Kumar starrer Kesari was originally announced, Salman Khan and Karan Johar were going to jointly produce the film. But, later, Salman backed out from the project. He said that Karan had already taken all the decisions about the film - from locations to casting - hence he had no role in the film. "I thought just adding my name was not right," he said. But rumours suggest that Salman backed out to support his friend Ajay Devgn, who was making a film on the same subject as Kesari. Another rumour suggests that Karan's production house did not launch Salman's brother-in-law Aayush Sharma, which upset him. Salman is no longer on good terms with Karan or Akshay.
Bharat
Salman seems to be at the centre of a lot of soured friendships. When Priyanka Chopra was announced to be playing the female lead in Bharat, it made quite a wave. But just days before the movie was scheduled to go on floors, Nick Jonas popped the question to Priyanka. She said yes, and the wedding date was set. Unfortunately, the wedding date and the film's schedule were clashing. Priyank bowed out of the film, upsetting Salman.
Taare Zameen Par
Maybe the most complicated of all fallouts on this list. Initially, Aamir Khan was only brought on board as the producer and actor for the film. Amole Gupte, who wrote the film, was to direct it. But Aamir was unhappy with what Amol shot in the first week of the schedule. He stepped in as the director. Near the film's release he said, "he has been present on set throughout the shooting as the Creative Director," But Amole has a different story to tell. He said, "We were all very proud of the film. Then we had a wrap-up party. And that's when Aamir announced he was the director of the film. That's when I got to know of his intentions," Aamir and Amole were friends since college days and this experience soured their relationship.
Zinda
There are multiple theories as to why Sanjay Gupta and Sanjay Dutt's friendship turned sour. As per the rumours, Sanjay Gupta did not pay the remuneration to the cast, which incepted the fallout. Gupta said in an interview that associates of Dutt asked actors not work with him. Thus, Gupta was out of directorial work for four years. "Ninety per cent of the film industry wasn't willing to work with me. They were told to not work with me after my fallout with Sanju," the film-maker told PTI. Gupta maintains that he has patched up with Sanjay but the two are yet to work in a film together.
