Gangubai Kathiawadi takes an easy lead while bagging big awards for Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Alia Bhatt. Badhaai Do also scored acting trophies for Rajkummar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar and Sheeba Chaddha, while Brahmastra took home five wins.

The 68th Filmfare Awards is taking place in Mumbai with superstar Salman Khan being the host of the evening, along with Ayushmann Khurrana and Maniesh Paul. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi, Pushkar-Gayathri's Vikram Vedha and Vivek Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files have garnered the maximum amount of nominees from among the Bollywood films that came out in 2022. Gangubai Kathiawadi takes the lead with 10 awards including Best Film, Best Director (Sanjay Leela Bhansali), Best Actress in Leading Role (Alia Bhatt) among others. Badhaai Do took the second lead with six wins including Best Actor in Lead Role (Rajkummar Rao), Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Female) for Sheeba Chaddha, Best Actress - Critics for Bhumi Pednekar (which she shares with Tabu for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2) and Best Film - Critics for director Harshvardhan Kulkarni. Brahmastra grabbed five wins including Best VFX, Best Music Album (Pritam), Best Lyrics (Amitabh Bhattacharya) and Best Playback Singer - Male (Arijit Singh).
