Bollywood's oldest and one of the most awards shows of the year has been done away with. The 64th Vimal Filmfare Awards had been hosted by the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Rajkummar Rao and Ranveer Singh. Like every year, the award ceremony once again honoured the most popular of the actors and the movies of last year. Talking about Best Actor award in a Supporting Role category, we had six nominees that are equally formidable and strong. 64th Vimal Filmfare Awards: Shah Rukh Khan Enthralls the Audience in his Signature Style; Janhvi Kapoor, Mouni Roy, Join the Superstar.

There is a talented Aparshakti Khurana who was nominated for his performance in the horror-comedy, Stree. Even the dependable Pankaj Tripathi was also nominated for the same movie. The brilliant Gajraj Rao was nominated for his fine performance in Badhaai Ho. Jim Sarbh's slimy act in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat was also not forgotten. Manoj Pahwa, who was wonderful in Mulk, also got nominated. Finally, there is Vicky Kaushal who was excellent in Sanju.

And two performers share the award this time. Gajraj Rao and Vicky Kaushal both share Best Actor in a Supporting Role for their performances in Badhaai Ho and Sanju respectively. Speaking about their films, Vicky Kaushal has played Sanjay Dutt's best friend in Rajkumar Hirani's film. Gajraj Rao, meanwhile, played Ayushmann Khurrana's father in Badhaai Ho, whose character becomes a father once again late in his life.
